Joining the bandwagon of biopics is yet another gripping and interesting life story of late Shiv Sena supreme Balasaheb Thackeray and an ace cartoonist of his times. And stepping into his boots for the silver screen is none other than Nawazuddin Siddiqui. While the teasers and posters have already piqued the interest of the audience, the makers today finally unveiled the trailer of the filmat a grand launch and it is one gripping tale. 

The trailer traces the real story of the person who the makers claim feared none and spoke his mind without mincing a word. With his strong resemblance and a similar body language as Bal Thackarey, Nawaz surely holds promise for thrill and entertainment in the trailer.


Earlier today, there were reports that stated that the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has raised objections to the film. According to the makers, CBFC has reportedly raised objections on four dialogues and two scenes and have asked them to make necessary changes. The makers of the film also stated that they are trying to solve the issue with CBFC, according to the law and are hopeful that it will soon be sorted out.


Thackeray, presented by Sanjay Raut, produced by Raut’ers Entertainment LLP, Viacom18 Motion Pictures and Carnival Motion Pictures, is all set for a 25th January, 2019 release.
